I agree and that's really the only reason I'm reading it as well. No one measures up to Sanderson, Tolkien and Co. Goodkind is better than a lot of others I've read though. I kinda wonder why they didn't try to get him instead of Sanderson to finish WOT. I guess Sanderson's writing style is closer to Jordan's but I think Goodkind is more talented. I give Sanderson points for Originality in his plot lines/magic systems but you can't really get very creative when you're writing someone else's book.

<description>Topic: Sword of Truth

Message: I'm fairly certain I've seen a thread about this series or the show (Legends of the Seeker) based on this series somewhere on the boards but I couldn't find it. So, fuck you if you did and think I'm a retard.ANYWAY..... Just started reading these. Finished the first book (Wizard's First Rule) a couple days ago and am almost through the second (Stone of Tears) and already bought the third (Blood of the Fold). Now I'm kinda pissed that Kahlan was eliminated in the first round of the -match?ref=TextLink_Top" onclick="window.open(this.href); return false;">Suvudu Cage Match by a freaking elf with swords. And then he beat the Shrike?! Unlikely. Also, I'm kinda pissed that Richard wasn't included in the tournament. I would have seen him as a more likely candidate from Goodkind's series than Kahlan. But then I've only read the first two (almost) books. Anyway, I thought it was worth starting a thread for. Go.

<description>Topic: Veritas Aquitas phrase question

Message: Some reasons I have seen for not getting tattoos on the fingers are1. Some jobs don't allow visible tattoos...since you are thinking of getting them on your fingers, I am guessing this won't apply to you.2. Skin turnover is too high and sweat during the healing process will make it blur
